Ethan Alexander Gulla 11/26/89 - 2/15/2014

The death of Ethan was the death of a precious life. The death of future experiences, hopes, and dreams. Our world is changed forever.

Some of you may be visiting this page because you were given a small memorial card. This card represents a small act of kindness that we shared with you out of remembrance of this precious life. Please know that whatever the act, the moment of peace and connectedness it brought us to our son, brother, grandson, and friend was the real gift. We cannot thank you enough. Please consider posting a note if you are lead. We would so enjoying hearing from you. (Just click the link below titled "Memorial Card Posts".)

The image above is one of the last pictures Ethan took. It is a pano shot he'd taken with his phone of one of his most favorite places to view Colorado Springs. He literally drug us from the house to this spot so that he could share the view with us. What a precious day it was. We love you Alex.

Hugs in the Wind

Today was one of those beautiful sunny Colorado days you would have loved.  I could just see you with Maggie running around the mountains in your jeep.  Maggie with her big grin just being with you.  You trying your best to find some new rock to 'crawl'.  Instead, Maggie was here with Chase and I.

As I sit on the back deck with the waterfall cascading down the hillside, I notice the gazebo netting still bears the burn scar from your fire poi practice last summer.  As I sit feeling ashamed with how upset I was with you for 'nearly burning down the house', a gentle breeze billows the netting to display the burn is actually the shape of a heart so full.  It is then that I hear you whisper "I love you mama".  As another slight breeze billows the netting.  I feel your Hugs in the Wind and I am so blessed for this short time with you.
